Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI) has received funding support from the Trade and Industrial Organisation Support Fund (TSF) under the Trade and Industry Department, and has partnered with the Institute for Climate and Carbon Neutrality (ICCN) at the University of Hong Kong to develop the new Carbon Management and CBAM Online Tool, a complimentary carbon emissions calculation platform for manufacturing enterprises.

This online tool is designed to help companies to:

• understand the compliance requirements of the EU’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM);
• conduct quick assessments of product carbon emissions; and
• estimate potential CBAM tax liabilities.

The platform features two dedicated tools:

• a generic carbon emissions calculation tool for all manufacturing sectors; and
• a specialised CBAM compliance tool for the iron and steel and aluminium industries.
