In September 2023, FHKI submitted its policy recommendations to the 2023 Policy Address to the HKSAR Government.  FHKI has put forward 6 major advocacies and 7 areas of recommendations to the Policy Address. The 6 major advocacies are as follows:

1. Strengthen Global Connections
2. Build Northern Metropolis I&T Museum
3. Enhance GBA Standards
4. Leverage “One-Hour Living Circle” for Talent Pool
5. Promulgate “Industrial Education Blueprint”
6. Government Funding for Results

In addition to the 6 major advocacies above, FHKI has also proposed a number of short, medium, and long-term measures in the following 7 policy areas:

1. Promoting economic recovery and alleviating economic pressures on businesses
2. Promoting innovation technology and new industrialization
3. Consolidating Hong Kong's unique economic advantages
4. Enhancing connectivity in the Greater Bay Area
5. Strengthening the pool of industrial talents
6. Promoting sustainable development in the business sector
7. Accelerating the development of the digital economy
